The test widget allows you to test the bot before putting it into operation to make sure it works correctly.
Test scripts that contain BPL operations should also be tested in the test widget, as they do not work when testing the bot inside the editor.
Before you start, create a script bot and chat bot with that script.
- Go to the Chat bots → Settings personal account. This will open a page with a list of all chat bots.
- Hover your cursor over the row of the desired chat bot.
- Click on
. A window will open with the code to insert the chatbot into the site.
- Click Preview. A new tab will open.
- Click on the widget icon in the bottom right corner of the page.
This will start the test widget and allow you to test the chat bot.
- Write a message to the text bot in the widget.
- Add an emoji by clicking
.
- Attach a file: click
and select the file on your device.
- Send a message by clicking on
.
Audio notifications help you not to miss important messages, but their operation depends on your settings and the state of the page. It is important to understand when they are played:
- If the browser detects that the widget page is not visible to the user (for example, the user is in another tab or the tab is inactive), the notification sound will play. To disable the sound, click on
→ Enable notifications in the widget header.
- As long as the user is actively interacting with the widget on the page, the audio notifications are turned off automatically so as not to create unnecessary noise.
To rate an operator, click
→ Leave feedback.
To restart the widget, click
→ Restart chat.
