Caller ID (CID) is a technology that automatically detects a subscriber's phone number during an incoming call. This function allows you to find out who the call came from.
In order to make calls to customers, you need to have a Caller ID. You can purchase a Caller ID by submitting a request to support, or add an existing one. The added phone number will be displayed on the client's device during incoming calls.
To add a Caller ID:
- Go to the section Voice bots → Settings of your personal account.
- Click Creating an incoming call rule or
in the upper left corner.
- Number name: Enter the name that will be displayed in the list when you select a number to call.
- Phone number: Specify the phone number that was provided by the supplier.
- (Optional) Comment: If necessary, add additional information about the number being added.
- (Optional) Webhook аddress: Click Add and specify the address of the webhook to which information about calls will be sent.
- Configure the block Connection Settings:
- Trunk — the code of the telecom operator. Select from the drop-down list the trunk through which the calls will be made.
- DID matches the number: Select this option if the phone number matches the DID. This option is disabled by default. If the DID does not match the number, disable the option and enter the correct number in the corresponding field below.
- Force to send calls through this connection: Select this option if the number is used as an caller ID to ensure guaranteed calls through the selected trunk, while ignoring other routing rules.
- Click Save.
